Whether it's your first or last, it's wonderful for mom to have extra TLC during labor and delivery.
My duty as a doula is to provide a continuous source of emotional and physical support, comfort and encouragement during labor.
Postpartum services
I will be with you at your home after you come home from the birth.
I will prepare meals for, help you with your baby, sometimes you will need to nap, when baby doesn't. Light housekeeping too. I can also help with young children. I will assist you for 4 days after you come home.
Hi, Im Lisa Penfield, Im a doula who became one after about 20 years of working in the nursing profession.
After experiencing childbirth I knew I really enjoyed working in labor and delivery as a nurse and decided to become a doula.
After taking a while away, I'm ready to jump back in to helping moms-to-be!
I delivered my 4 children with a Midwife and with my 4th I also had a doula.
I believe all birthing women deserve one-to-one attention. After all birthing aka labor is hard, and sometimes scary. Especially if it's your first or if you've had a negative prior birth. I will give you the care you deserve. Every mom to be needs a doula. Studies have shown that mom and baby have better outcomes with birth assistants attending.
I offer birth doula services
and postpartum doula services.
I serve Weber county,Davis county, Morgan county, Box Elder county.
My pricing is $1000 for
birth services
Postpartum $600 for 5 days.
My doula package includes.
Meeting you for a 1 hour intro visit at any stage during your pregnancy, preferably before the last 3 months. We will have 2-3 more visits to check-in and
see if there are any unresolved questions or ways I can assist you prior to the big day.
I can assist you if you have questions during your pregnancy and can't reach your doctor or midwife. I may be able to answer non-medical questions.
Frequent contact week 38-42 of your pregnancy. I will be on call during the last
week of your pregnancy. I can provide care for you in your home if you choose to labor there and accompany you to the birth center or hospital and remain with you until your baby is delivered, and a few hours post delivery.
I utilize various comfort and calming techniques such as music, massage, aromatherapy, coaching you and your baby's father if desired to assist during labor. I also utilize
birthing positions and measures that assist in pain relief during labor.
I require a deposit when you hire me.
$450
Balance can be paid in payments if you
pay if full I will give a 10% discount.
